Millennials are turning 35, just like all these things you love so much.

If you think time goes by fast, you will be even more amazed when you learn that Telepizza, Erasmus, Los Goya or 'Dirty Dancing', among others, have turned 35 years old.

According to a study carried out by Aviva, and published by The GuardianThe Guardian, 35 is the best age in life. Neither the adolescent stage of madness and indifference, nor the independence of youth, nor the rest that comes with retirement meet the requirements of those surveyed to be the perfect age. Thirty-five is the key age, a time of maturity and evolution when you know what you want and where you want to be. This 2022 there have been many brands, characters, series and other milestones that turn 35, we tell you the most relevant ones so you can be surprised how fast time goes by:

  • The Goya Awards: many things have changed since the first edition in 1987, among them, the 12 kilos of difference with the current statuette, which in its beginnings weighed 15 kilos. As curiosities, the awards, named after a Spanish painter, were about to be called 'The Lumière', and the Goya number zero was given to the emeritus King Juan Carlos I.

  • The Simpsons: if you belong to the 'millennial' generation, surely they have accompanied you in many moments of your life, especially at lunchtime. One of the longest-running TV series turns 35 years old, we know that this news comes as a cold shower and that, with it, you have realized how old you are... but, the positive part is that, for the moment, the series does not seem to have an end in sight. The show is so relevant that April 19, the date of its launch, was established as World Simpsons Day.

  • Telepizza: the long-standing brand, pioneer in pizza delivery in Spain, and its iconic claim, 'The secret is in the dough', celebrated its 35th anniversary this year. Taking advantage of the date, they have carried out an update, in which the keys have been: the improvement of its recipe, the digitalization of the brand and focusing its communication on the younger generations. We still remember with nostalgia those magnets, essential in Spanish refrigerators, to which we went to order our favorite Telepis a few years ago, and now we can even do it through WhatsApp.

The European Erasmus program: this educational plan, which was born so that students could try the experience of training outside their country, has become a phenomenon that, in these 35 years, more than 12 million students have experienced. And, in case you didn't know, Spain is at the forefront in terms of participation, both in terms of the students we send and those we receive.

  • For those who were left with the desire and think they have passed their age, do not lose faith, because the oldest student in the program, also Spanish, lived the experience at the age of 80.

  • Lionel Messi: one of the world's most famous soccer players turned 35 this year, an age that, in the case of athletes, is key to their professional careers. Experts estimate that the average age of retirement for footballers is between 37 and 38, although some, like good wine, age very well.

  • Dirty Dancing: it is considered a classic of the decade and although the protagonists, Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, are no longer as young and energetic, they remain in our memory as the dancers who performed the most recreated porté in history. But please don't try this at home, the years have passed for everyone.

  • Once upon a time: its books and tapes, which we can now find in lumber rooms or Wallapop, were the protagonists of our childhood for several years. The children of the decade were divided between those who liked history, who watched 'Once upon a time... life', and those who preferred science, who opted for 'Once upon a time... the human body'. It's clear to us, now everyone prefers Tiktok.
