Food Delivery Brands has announced that Rafael Herrero López will be the new CEO of the group.

With a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Complutense University of Madrid and an MBA from IESE, Herrero has extensive experience in the restaurant industry, including his role as CEO of Alsea Iberia, where he led the group's growth and consolidation in Spain until 2020.

Following the restructuring process that the company has undergone and which will culminate successfully this January, Rafael Herrero joins Food Delivery Brands with the objective of maximizing the group's profitability and strengthening the positioning of the brands that the group operates in various markets.

"I am grateful for the confidence of the new shareholders, taking on the great challenge of joining a company with such iconic brands in the Spanish restaurant sector and a global benchmark," says Rafael Herrero.

For his part, Julián Díaz, non-executive chairman of Food Delivery Brands, notes that "the incorporation of Rafael Herrero will be of great value to continue consolidating the group and its brands in key markets. Rafael's extensive experience in the QSR sector and his strategic vision will undoubtedly help to continue building a foodservice group like Food Delivery Brands".

The appointment of Rafael Herrero as Chief Executive Officer of the group will be effective after the next shareholders' meeting, which will take place in the coming weeks, and at which the new Board of Directors will be appointed, which will give effect to the takeover by the new shareholders of the group and the beginning of a new stage for Food Delivery Brands.
