More than half a year has passed since the company joined the Red Cross RESPONDE Plan by donating nearly 80,000 portions of telepizzas for distribution to 44 soup kitchens and shelters in seven autonomous communities, with the aim of helping the most vulnerable groups at risk of social exclusion due to Covid-19.

In addition to the Red Cross, Telepizza has collaborated with some twenty institutions in social actions and has distributed, since the beginning of the pandemic, nearly 39 tons of telepizzas throughout Spain.

In this way, the company takes a further step step further in its commitment to comply with the SDGs and the United Nations Global Compact, to which it has been a signatory since 2019..

October 13, 2020.- Telepizza continues to collaborate with the Red Cross through the RESPONDE Plan, an action plan launched by the humanitarian movement last March due to the situation generated by the pandemic in the most disadvantaged groups. This collaboration with the Red Cross and its action plan began last April, and has enabled the company to donate nearly 80,000 slices of pizzas to date, which have been distributed to a total of 44 soup kitchens and shelters in seven Spanish regions (Cantabria, Andalusia, Castile and Leon, the Canary Islands, Galicia, the Balearic Islands and the Basque Country). Telepizza has helped almost 1,500 people a week since the pandemic began, delivering an average of 2,000 Telepizzas a month.

The Red Cross RESPONDE plan is an action and response plan to respond to the situation generated by the pandemic. A project that to date has served more than 2,550,000 people, mobilizing more than 60,000 volunteers, which materializes the planned responses throughout the territory through more than 1,400 points of care and also telematically and / or telephone. Recently, the organization has launched Cruz Roja Responde RECUPERACIÓN, which will last until December.

In this sense, the agreement reached between Telepizza and the Red Cross adds to the more than 25 initiatives in which Telepizza participates by making its resources and capillarity available to authorities and vulnerable groups throughout Spain. This is another step forward in the company's commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, to which it has been a signatory since 2019.

Since the beginning of the pandemic crisis, Telepizza, in line with SDG 2 "Zero Hunger", has donated a total of nearly 39 tons of telepizzas thanks to the involvement and solidarity of its franchisees and employees throughout Spain. This means that more than 120,000 people have been able to receive food thanks to these solidarity telepizzas, which have been distributed, not only in soup kitchens and shelters, but also in more than 100 hospitals, and headquarters of different security forces as a token of recognition and appreciation for the work done by these professionals in the front line of the fight against Covid-19. The company has also made its fleet of motorcycles available on numerous occasions to institutions for the distribution of children's textbooks, protective materials such as masks and gloves, among others, in the most isolated areas.
