Food Delivery Brands, a company committed to people with intellectual disabilities

International Day of Intellectual Disability

Food Delivery Brands is characterised by "doing and not saying", which is why today it is celebrating International Day of Intellectual Disability by highlighting its main initiatives in this field.

By 2021, the Group will continue to support the socio-occupational inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through collaborations with entities such as Down España and LaLiga Genuine Santander.

Madrid, 3 December 2020 - On the occasion of the International Day of Intellectual Disability, Food Delivery Brands (formerly Telepizza Group), highlights its commitment to society and, in particular, to the group of people with intellectual disabilities, by reviewing its main initiatives related to this group.

According to the World Health Organisation, there are more than one billion people in the world who suffer from some kind of disability to varying degrees, which represents 15% of the world's population. In relation to their inclusion in the workplace, there are still many barriers and prejudices that hinder their full integration.

For this reason, Food Delivery Brands, a company committed to social and labour inclusion and diversity, has spent years developing various initiatives focused on promoting the integration of this group in its workforce through agreements with entities such as Down España and FUNDACIÓN LaLiga.

"We live in the era of purpose and now, with the very special circumstances we are experiencing, it is increasingly necessary to promote initiatives aimed at the inclusion of any group", explains Miguel Justribó, Chief Purpose Officer of Food Delivery Brands. "Our commitment to inclusion in the workplace has given us an important added value to the company. We are proud that people like Noel, Reyes, Pablo and Macarena, among many others, are part of our company and transmit important values such as teamwork, willingness and commitment", continues Miguel Justribó.

A tour of the Group's socio-occupational inclusion initiatives

Throughout these years, Food Delivery Brands has demonstrated a strong commitment to society and social causes, which has become one of its strategic axes and a fundamental aspect of its business philosophy.

Since 2017, with the launch of the "Juntos Crecemos" project, Food Delivery Brands has begun its journey hand in hand with this group, committing to incorporate people with Down syndrome in its own shops and offices.

In 2018, the Group became an official sponsor of LaLiga Genuine Santander, accompanying and bringing moments of happiness to all the teams in each match.

Subsequently, in 2019, the company signed an employment inclusion agreement with FUNDACIÓN LaLiga through which it undertakes to incorporate in its shops at least one person from each of the 36 teams that make up LaLiga Genuine Santander, to date, there are already 18 players incorporated into the company.

Looking ahead to 2021, Food Delivery Brands confirms that it will continue to support the social and labour inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, through collaborations with entities such as Down España and LaLiga Genuine Santander.
